Darrell Ashley Dyke passed away peacefully at his home in Haines Oregon on January 8th, 2023 with loved ones by his side after a long courageous fight with cancer.\nDarrell was born in 1960 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Lorene and William Dyke.\nHe graduated with a masters degree in Civil Engineering and worked for the Government of the United States until his retirement after 30 years. His real passion was his ranch. He was excited about retiring and spending his days working his cows and farm.\nDarrell had one daughter, Jaydyn Dyke, who brought him much joy. He loved to take her traveling to Oregon State Beavers games and loved trips to the coast. He had a love of reading and sharing his knowledge with Jaydyn.\nDarrell is survived by his daughter Jaydyn A. Dyke, his three brothers Kevin, Bobbie, and Mike Dyke, and his sister in laws, Janet Dyke and Vicki Dyke. As well as his nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.\nThere will be a graveside service Saturday, January 14th at 11:00am, at the Haines Cemetery, followed by a memorial at 1:00pm at the North Powder Fire Department.\nMemorial contributions may be made to the North Powder Fire Hall through Gray's West & Co.
