Dave Noble of Baker City, Oregon passed away at his home on May 6th, 2024 with his wife Linda and family present.
He had always said he was born 100 years too late. His heart was with the Mountain Men, Explorers, Native Americans, Pioneers and Cowboys of the Old West. He read and studied about all of the above continually.
He graduated from High School in Lakeview, Oregon in 1962. He achieved Degrees in Law Enforcement and Business at Clackamas Community College while he was married and raising 3 children.
His work history was as varied as his many interests. Cleaning ditches on a tractor when he was 6 years old, to driving a Trolley as his last paid job. In between he had careers in banking, law enforcement, construction, facility management and public relations.
His outside interests included rodeo announcing, from Pee Wee events to Senior Pro Rodeo, and Hells Canyon Mule Days. He loved to hunt and fish and loved spending time at the family cabin, just doing nothing but watching the birds. He loved visiting with people, sharing stories and teaching what he knew about our history as a country. He was able to do that during his many years as a volunteer interpreter at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and doing outreach programs for the kids in schools in Baker County and the surrounding area.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda. Daughter, Anna Noble Christensen (Stuart) of Rosalia, Washington and sister, Dawn Reynolds of Burns, Oregon.
9 grandchildren: Matthew Noble (Becky) and Aaron Noble of Clarkston, Washington. Kylie Evans (Brian) of Elgin, Oregon; Kimberlie Monkus (Derek) of Stanfield, Oregon; Taylor Noble of Julietta, Idaho. The light of his life, Calvin Lee Noble of Clarkston, Washington was his 1st Great Grandchild.
Many nieces and nephews which were all an important part of his life.
He was proceeded in death by is parents; brothers Hugh and Charles Noble and William Owen. Sisters, Inis Owen and Jane Ann Fowler and his sons, Gary Lee Noble and Jon Kevin Noble
