Grace Clara Hall, 87, of Baker City, Oregon passed away at her residence in Settlers Park Assisted Living on May 9, 2017. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Gray's West & Co. Pioneer Chapel from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at The Church of The Nazarene located at 1250 Hughes Lane, Baker City, Oregon. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery will follow the service and a reception will be held for those wishing to attend at the Church of the Nazarene.\n\nGrace Clara was born on November 21, 1929 in Jarbidge, Nevada to Paul William and Stella Tucke Fulton. Grace moved from Nevada as a baby to Idaho and then on to Hereford, Oregon to live. They were heading to Portland, Oregon when Grace's brother developed appendicitis and they then settled in Baker City, Oregon; Grace was 13 years old at the time. She was raised in Baker City and attended school in the Baker school district, graduating from high school in 1947.\n\nRussell Hall had just returned to Baker City after serving his country and met Grace Fulton, who lived just around the way from his home. The couple married on August 15, 1947 in Boise, Idaho and together they raised four beautiful children.\n\nGrace started her own day care center, called Grace's Day Care Center and taught pre-school for 30 years. After Russell began having health issues he began working with Grace at her home day care.\n\nGrace retired from her day care business in 1988, but she stayed busy by volunteering as a greeter and teaching Sunday school classes. Grace also donated her time to the elderly by providing them rides and helping out where she was needed; she went as far as taking people into their home for the holidays and also taking her grandchildren from time to time.\n\nGrace was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Russell Hall; her parents Paul and Stella Fulton; her daughter Inez Andrus; a brother Bob Fulton; a sister in-law Erika Fulton; and a brother in-law William Samson.\n\nShe is survived by her three children Belinda Rithman of Boise, Idaho, Gary Hall and his wife Roma of Hermiston, Oregon, Paul Hall and his wife Donna of Adams, Oregon; a son in-law Don Andrus of Keizer, Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren Faith, April, Jonathon and Joshua Andrus, Stephanie and Teddy Rithman, Russell and Travis Hall, Dean and Jessica Hall; her eleven great-grandchildren; her sister Lena Samson of Dodge Center, Minnesota; a brother, Bill Fulton of Baker City, Oregon; sister in-law Arlene Fulton of Baker City, Oregon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.\n\nMemorial contributions may be made to The Church of the Nazarene or the VFW Hall in care of Gray's West & Co. at 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
