Kimberly Watts-Engstrom

–

Baker City, Oregon

Kim was a sweet and generous soul. She genuinely loved her people and had a laugh that was contagious. An animal lover, she loved to dance, bowl, and was an axe throwing enthusiast! Kim was born in Hillsboro, OR, on October 11, 1973. She passed away in her home in Baker City, OR, on January 13, 2025.

Kim grew up in Hillsboro area and graduated from Hillsboro High School (Hilhi) in 1992.
Kim’s work as a caregiver came naturally to her, always meeting the needs of each individual client that counted on her - and she did so with a smile.

Kim leaves behind her husband, Derik; son, Austin Reese; stepdaughter, Cheyenne Engstrom; stepson, Austin Engstrom; her parents, Don and Jean Watts; sister, Gina Watts; nephews, Tyler & Jordan; niece, Miranda; and adopted son, Eddie. Kim also adored her pets Jr., Buddy and Belle.

A celebration of life will be planned in her honor and will be made public with details to follow. One thing for sure is that wearing any shade of pink will be requested as it was Kim’s favorite color of all time and she felt it added beauty to everything!

In lieu of flowers we ask that you would please make donations to Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals. Memorial contributions may be made to Oregon Friends of Shelter Animals through Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel at 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.

May God keep her happy in heaven and her memory never forgotten.
